Getting an online degree is becoming very popular the world over. Of course residents of the United States are the most common online students, but other people of other countries are getting involved slowly as well. When it comes to deciding what type of online degree you want, you may have more choices than you ever thought possible.  Of course you have to qualify for each one, but that is beside the point.  No matter where you are at in your education, there is an online degree program that can work to your advantage.


Associate

The first type of online degree that you can get is an associate degree. This is a two year degree at more traditional schools, and the one that is easiest and quickest to obtain online. If you are interested in an associate degree be sure to check the different schools to find the one that offers what you are looking for.



Bachelor

A bachelor degree is the most common in the United States. This is known as a four year degree, and they are offered by many online colleges. The biggest benefit of getting a bachelor degree is that there are many programs available. You can choose from everything from business to marketing to technology.


Masters

Getting a masters degree online is becoming more and more common. But before you decide on this, remember that you must first have a bachelor degree. Without a bachelor degree, you do not qualify to move onto the next level. Be sure to search around for a masters program that suits your bachelor degree. For instance if you have a bachelor in business, you may want to get a masters in the same field.


PhD

 

A PhD is the highest degree that you can receive from an online college. These programs are not as popular as the others, but believe it or not there are plenty of people who are enrolled in them. After all, it is much easier and cost efficient to get a PhD online. This way you can work around your current schedule, while also saving some money in the long run. Chances are that if you have made it this far you have a few loans to worry about.
